There is a popular saying that An Image is worth a Thousand Words and I agree with that. Especially for a website or blog, the importance of using images cannot be over emphasized because; it does a lot of things to a blog.
However, in the current scenario when internet marketing is one prime marketing channel, you need to make sure you do everything well and for images; they not only contribute towards the beauty of your site but can also be used as a marketing tactic to scale up your site’s conversion rate provided you use them well.
I’m sure majority of you knows about this but even at that, I still see a lot of people that does not use images on their blog posts and the reason is what I don’t really know.

1. Optimize the Images For Search Engines: While uploading the image on your blog posts, ensure that you really optimized it for the search engines so that people can also find your posts via them. The best way to achieve this is by simply using your focus keyword as the title of the image and by also using the keyword as your ALT text (Alternate Text). It’s also advisable to have the focused keyword on the description of the image.
2. Cut Down on Load time by Uploading the Exact Size you Need: There is practically no need having a 1000×1500 pixel image on your site in fact, that will be total madness. Therefore before uploading the image, ensure that it’s the exact size you need and, you must be aware that larger size images can slow down your site which is capable of turning your visitors off instantly.
3. Cut Down the Size of The Image: Just like the number 2 above, there are tools you can use to minimize the size of the images you intend to use in order to ensure that it does not take up much bandwidths to load.
