Twitter is an easy social network to gain followers, re-tweets and favorites when you know what to do and the right twitter tools to use. Much easier than trying to get likes on a Facebook page or post. Obliviously if you are going to use twitter manually by following people and clicking your mouse until it breaks then it is going to take a while, that is why it’s advisable that you make use these twitter tools to help promote your twitter.
However, using the type of twitter tools i will share with you in a moment is the best way to getting more result from your twitter marketing efforts. You can use them to get re-tweets, followers and favorites. This means you can promote your twitter account really easily. Also for each of these apps I will include some tips from my own experience; I gained a lot of experience since trying for several months. Some are free apps and some are paid. Most of the ones below I use.
Twitter Tools To Get More Followers and Re-tweets:
The apps which are below are really effective if you know how to use them properly. I will tell you how to use some of them to grow your Twitter. I’ll be using the simple follow back method.
1. Tweepi
Tweepi is one of all time favorite twitter tools which I use the most to get followers. It is free, but you can buy membership which includes some more features. Once you have created an account then you can see many different things about your twitter. How many people your following but they aren’t following back? Therefore you un-follow them. You can see how many people are following you whom you’re not following back. So you should follow them to keep them as your followers.

Of course you have a competitor (hopefully related to your niche) on Twitter who may have a lot of followers, or friends. Then you can follow their followers or follow their friends. Using the tools in the area called Follow new Tweeps. Once you followed the amount you want to follow for today then wait at least 2 – 3 days and let them follow you back. If they don’t follow you back within those days then, its time you un-follow them.
2. Manage Flitter
I cannot mention all the twitter tools here without the mention of manage flitter. I use Manage Flitter when I have a lot of people not following me. I meant a lot, which would take too much time for Tweepi. Also it helps me un-follow users in categories. Such as non-English, no profile picture, fake following and much more. I mainly use fast select on the app to un-follow quickly. Un-following is free but following isn’t, that is only for members. Members also get analytics, dashboard, search and other features.
3 Twiends
On Twiends you can gain followers by following people. You see how much credits someone is offering for a follower. Once you follow them, you get that amount of credits and you can choose how much credits you offer for a follower. It is simple and does not go against twitter.
4. Just Retweet
Just Retweet is one of the best twitter tools out there. It can get your website a huge amount of traffic, re-tweets and more followers if you know how best to use it. You gain credits by re-tweeting what other people have said then you can spend the credits by making your own tweets which other people will re-tweet. For those tweets to be found then use hash tags such as #blogging, #fashion, #gaming. By following others you can gain credits on the website as well.
Tips, Benefits and Warnings:
– Always follow the user back.
– Don’t do this too often.
– Give time for people to follow you back.
– Use the twitter apps to get followers related to your niche.
– Interact with other users on twitter in your niche.
– The more you re-tweet and follow, the more you get traffic to your website.
– More followers can mean more money.
– Don’t abuse these apps.
– Don’t re-tweet too often on Just Retweet.
– Don’t go over the API limits for a day.

Theodore, great tools. I ‘ve been using JustRetweet to grow my new branding Twitter profile for my blog. It is quick and easy! The only thing I would say is I hope more folks get on the bandwagon there to give more stuff to tweet out. I haven’t used Tweepi in a while – I should check it out again. I like manage flitter a lot and use it monthly to unfollow some folks who haven’t been active in months on Twitter. I used to use Twiends but don’t like it as much. I found too many unrelated type of peeps there. Maybe it has since changed. I would also add Triberr to the list, I love it and it has really grown my blog and Twitter following.
It really amazes me how many tools and apps they are just for Twitter. See you back over there!
Theodore Nwangene says
Hi Lisa,
Among all the above mentioned tools, the only one I’m using and like is manage flitter, i like it mainly because of its simplicity. I’ve really heard a lot about Triberr but, have not had the time to check it, i think i will have to add it to my to-do lists.
Thanks a lot for sharing your brilliant opinion with us Lisa, do have a great days ahead :).
Rehman Amjad says
Hi Lisa,
Manage flitter is great for cleaning inactive, non-english twitter followers and of course the ones who spam. I mainly use manage flitter to clean up my following list while using tweepi to build up my following list with twitter users who have the same niche as me.
Thanks for commenting.
Harleena Singh says
Hi Rehman, and welcome to Theodore 🙂
These are surely a nice list of Twitter tools 🙂
I use Tweepi and find it pretty alright, though use it once a month perhaps just to check who to unfollow mainly, just in-case they aren’t following me any longer, which is rare. I really don’t prefer collecting more followers through this way, and prefer that they like me and follow me for my work instead.
Yes, once they do that, before I follow them back, I always check their profiles and details and then follow back. So, I wouldn’t agree with you there that we should follow them right back or use any of these tools that follow followers back automatically half the time. Yes, I know some people do that to increase their followers etc. but later use the same tools to narrow it all down. I guess it all comes down to the choices you make – quality over quantity as they say. I prefer having a few followers, and following a few – that are more interactive and connect with each other, rather than those who might follow you, but you never know about them later.
Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead, both of you 🙂
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks a lot for this wonderful comment of yours as always Harleena :),
I do understood all you said here and i also agree with your view. Its about knowing what you want as you said, you need to know between quality and quantity the one you prefer and then, go after it.
I will also go for quality because we’re following those people we like what they are doing and want to learn from them and then, i guess the people following us are also following us for the same reason so, i don’t follow just for following sake, i like getting results.
Thanks a lot for this awesome opinion of your Harleena, I’m also wishing you a great day.
Rehman Amjad says
Hi Harleena,
Thanks for commenting, I noticed how you said you wanted to narrow down to get the perfect followers. I completely agree with you as well so I wrote in the post ‘Interact with other users in your niche’. The quality of the followers will matter for some people but more people unfortunately care about the quantity. I always remember quality is better than quantity.
Thanks Rehman

Nice share Brother,

Carlie Hamilton says
Thanks for the recommendations, I will have to check out Tweepi.
I’ve used justretweet, but i wasn’t sure if I liked it or not. I felt like there wasn’t as much quality stuff that I wanted to retweet to get my points up – maybe I was just being too picky.
I have also used Tweepdash, which I am guessing is similar to tweepi.
I’m not at that stage yet where I am getting a huge ROI on twitter yet to justify paying for a program/service to help me. I love twitter, but at the moment I have higher priorities.
Theodore Nwangene says
Its always good to focus more on our priorities Carlie,
I won’t also pay for any service just to promote my twitter profile for now. I’ve not used justretweet before and so, won’t say much about it except that I’ve heard some people talking good about them but, what worked for another person might not work for you which is why we have individual differences.
Thanks a lot for stopping by and sharing your wonderful opinion with us Carlie, hope you’ll visit us again :).

I haven’t really tried any of these tools. I’ll surely try on these for a more effective use of the twitter. Thank you so much for this.
Theodore Nwangene says
You are welcome Connor,
Just pick any of them and try, I’m sure you will find one that you’ll like. Thanks a lot for stopping by and take care of yourself.
Okto says
Hi Theodore,
I have to admit that I’m too passive in twitter. I just don’t have much time to engage on all the social media bandwagon. And twitter is one of my weakness. Great share!
Theodore Nwangene says
I understood you perfectly Okto,
We must not be good at everything, the main things to discover what is working with us and then, stick by it. But, i think twitter can also do some magic for you if you can give it more time.
Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Hey Rehman,
Welcome to Theodore’s blog
Just to mention that JustRetweet is a great tool. There are many of such tools are there but with spammy contents. JustRetweet is just the right clean tool for bloggers
Thanks for mentioning it
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks a lot for stopping by Enstine,
I’ve heard a lot good stuffs about Just Retweet and I’m happy you’re also talking good about it. Thanks for sharing your view with us.
Adrienne says
Well that was a wonderful share Rehman and welcome to Theodore’s place. Nice to meet you and you offered some excellent resources that come along with our oh so fabulous Twitter.
ManagerFlitter is one I’ve been using for a very long time. I love that little program and it’s so easy to use and find the people who aren’t following you are who aren’t active. That’s what I use it for the most because I never follow anyone who is a logo or an egg.
I’ve checked out Tweepi in the past but I’ve never used Twiends or JustRetweet. I’m associated with Triberr so I thought for now that’s enough to try and keep up with because I definitely pay attention to what I share.
Appreciate your take on these services, always good to hear what others use and their recommendations. Great job with this post.
You guys have a fabulous rest of your week and I’ll see ya around.
~Adrienne

I’ve also been using Manage Flitter for sometime now and like you, i love it a lot mainly because of its simplicity. I’ve not tried the rest of the tools before but, i will have to check out Triberr one of these days to see what impact it can create for me :).
Thanks a lot for the visit once again and do enjoy the remaining of your week too.

Hello Rehman,
I have used 2 out of the 4 tools that you have mentioned here. Just Retweet is a must for any marketer. It is really a very useful tool . The other toll that I have used recently is manage Flitter, and I must say I liked it. It shows a lot of information about our followers and I loved the categories.
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks for your contribution Sourav,
I’ve also used and love manage flitter. I’ve not used just retweet before but, i guess i will have to give it a shot. Thanks a lot for stopping by and, do have a lovely weekend.

Hey Rehman (and Theodore),
I think I may be the worst marketer ever to use twitter out there because I don’t use ANY automation or third party software in my account.
I signed up to Just Retweet not long ago but I never went back to it and when I first got started with IM, I used Social Oomph to automatically greet followers via DM but then I found out this was a terrible thing to do and stopped doing that.
I really wanted to buy Tweet Adder at one point since I saw some very cool twitter strategies with it but then I saw some important people getting their accounts banned for abuse and that quickly killed my “need” for that software.
And finally, a very simple software I was using to unfollow inactive people was Twitter Clean but with the latest Twitter API updates they decided to give up (I think it was just one programmer behind that website).
I signed up to Tweepi, looks interesting guys and I think I’ll check out Manage Flitter too , thanks!
Sergio
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks Sergio,
The only twitter tool I’ve used before is Manage Flitter and Tweet old post plugin. I love the features of manage flitter and i think you will also like it so, give it a shot.
I’ve never used just retweet before but, from what people are saying about it, i think its a good tool as well. I think its all about getting used to it anyway. Thanks for taking part on the discussion, really appreciate your points :).
Enjoy your weekend
Rudraksh Pathak says
I do use Twiends and Just Retweet a lot. Let me try Tweepi. Thanks Theodore for the list of tools.
Jan Koch says
Hi Theodore,
the only one I’ve used before in this list was Just Retweet.
Before TweetAdder was updated, I loved the automatic following function, but since that doesn’t comply with Twitters regulations, TweetAdder was forced to drop this function in the current version.
Right now I’m building my following without any tools, but I’ll definitely take a look at Flitter.
Thanks for sharing!
Jan
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks Jan,
Just Retweet is an awesome tool indeed. But, just try Manage Flitter too, I’m sure you will also like it. Thanks for the visit Jan
