Hey friend, What is really holding you back? This is a question you must answer if you want to start moving forward. We all know that the best way to solving any problem is to first of all identify the problem, can you solve an issue you don’t know the cause? Of course no. You might think you’ve solved it but sooner or later, it will surface again because, you haven’t settled the main cause of the problem.
I wanted to make today’s post as short as possible because, i just returned to my state last night and have not really settled down which is also the reason why i published late today which you know is unusual so, today’s post will not be as long as the other ones :).
So tell me, what is holding you from achieving those beautiful heart desires of yours? Have you published that ebook you’ve been wanting to publish since last year? If not, why not? Oh, because English is not your first language or, you’re just not ready yet?

We have thousands of reason’s for not starting the good work we’re concern with and to be honest, i also have that thoughts from time to time.
When i was thinking of this post, i remembered some awesome quotes I’ve read before and I’m sure you will also find them interesting.
1. Ninety nine percent of failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses (Anonymous)
2. I artribute my success to this: I never gave or took an excuse (Florence Nightingale)
3. I have never met a person who has given me as much trouble as myself (Dwight L. Moody)
4. It is not what you think you’re that is holding you back, its what you think you’re not (Anonymous)
There are many more but, i will stop here. One of the things that always stop people from achieving what they want is because they are always looking for perfection but, sometimes in an effort to want to be perfect, you forgot that there are people needing your service right now, right where you are.
But, do you know that Every master was once a disaster”. And it is better to test those idea out even if you “miss the mark” than to wait till you are fully ready to launch. That may not be for another decade.
So, why not start now and make corrections later? Why not publish that book now, why not start doing all those things now instead of waiting for a time that might never come?
Secondary, stop thinking of pleasing everyone, you will only be messing around because, no matter what you do and how good you do make, there are people that will still not fancy it so, why don’t you focus on those that already like what you’re doing and keep on making them happy? Check out the story below, i found it somewhere and also decided to share with you…..
An old man, a boy and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding. The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.
Later, they passed some people that remarked: “What a shame, he makes that little boy walk.” They then decided they both would walk!
Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So, they both rode the donkey.
Now they passed some people that shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey. The boy and man said they were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal and he fell into the river and drowned.
The moral of the story? In Marketing, if you try to please everyone, you might as well… Kiss your ass good-bye
Now, have you seen what I’m talking about?
I will not say much again, all i want you to do now is to go register that domain you’ve been wanting to register, start writing that book now and before you know, you will finish it up.
Thanks and happy weekend in advance :).
Lol, i thought the post will be below 500 words but now, its more than 700, sorry for not keeping my promise :).

hey Theo
I love those quotes!
Nobody holds me back, other than myself… if you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe (if you were an asthmatic sufferer) then you need to be fully aware of:
*** Your habits or lack of
For example, if you like watching TV, and spend two or more hours a day in pure leisure… instead of working on your project, mini site, article, promotion or whatever you pursuit, then don’t blame others you don’t have enough time, or how hard it is to make money online… is it?
Cheers!

Hi Theodore,
I was just about wondering what happened to your post and now I know the reason, and I hope you had a nice break 🙂
Ah…there are SOOO many things that tend to hold people back, not just in their professional life, which of course they have to overcome but also in their personal life and relationships. The only answer that I can give for this one is to go out and make the change in your thoughts and thus your actions. If you are determined, you CAN achive anything, provided you really put your heart and mind into it, isn’t it?
Loved your quotes, which were a nice change to see here, or perhaps I say that because I love quotes myself! And so was the story, which is so true. If you start listening to people, their positive or their negative comments, you can really never do what YOU want to do. I strongly feel that not only in marketing alone, but in any sphere of your life, if you try to make everyone happy or do what they like, you can never progress and succeed because you will never be able to do what you want to do, and that voice from your heart is drowned by such people.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice weekend 🙂

Love the donkey story. I totally agree with you if we try to please others, we will only fail online. I think most of us are scared of the criticism we will receive if we don’t try to please others.
I know that I have let fear hold off on my product creation for over a month. I kept telling myself that I was not yet ready to create my own product. I just started working on it again…We have to just keep pushing towards our goals and have the faith that as long as we provide value.
It does not matter what others think about us.
Theodore Nwangene says
You’ve said it all Susan,
And, i agree with all you said. We should stop trying to please everyone dear, lets focus on those people that already like what we’re doing. I’m working you’re working on your product again, good luck mate.
