Happy new week to all of us, I’m sure we all had a fabulous weekend. The good news is that I’m healthy once again. Thank you all for your get well wishes and thank God for taking my sickness away :).
The other news i have for you is that i will be starting exam on Monday 3rd of June and I’m sure you know what that mean :). But in case you don’t know, I’m still a school boy 🙂 and I’m studying Electrical Electronics Engineering. I wrote about that here before. So, i will have to pay more attention on my books for now. You won’t believe that I’ve not been serious with my studies since this year and its all because of this this blog. Hope you will wish me good luck :).
The issue now is that i will not be having time to write new posts for now but, whenever I’m less busy, i will write. Therefore, i want to officially let you know that i will publishing more guest posts on this blog for now so that it will always be updated as usual. But, what i promise you is that i will not be accepting anyhow posts, any post i will publish must be one that is interesting.
Please, i need your supports and understanding on this. Throughout my exam period, if you have any post that you think my readers will love to read please, send it to ngenebiz [at] gmail.com. I will not check it out and let you know if it will be published and when.

Top 5 Writing Tips to Enhance Your Blog Today
Luckily, there are tons of blogging platforms that you use at a platter of gold (zero cost), so anyone can get started with blogging with ease and as soon as possible. However, becoming successful with your blog is another matter. It could be that your present style is more suitable with Twitter compared to WordPress. If this is true, you will start blogging like a pro with these top writing tips in the shortest time possible.
1. Don’t Beat around the Bush
This point is highly essential for any blog that wants to win quality loyalty. You should have a clear objective in mind before writing. Your readers expect you to have a point to them through your content without beating around the bush. While trying to keep a personal touch, keep an open eye so that you don’t go overboard blabbing unnecessarily. Readers prefer ‘straight to the point’ posts without losing a personal touch with the writer.
2. Have a Good Time Schedule and Set Deadlines
One of the great writing tips to improve your blog is planning your time and setting deadlines. This will ensure that your readers would have something new to read always, and that the quality of the content is consistent. You need to schedule time for creating, re-creating and editing your posts to avoid losing your readers and making your blog suffer. Don’t do any ‘rush’ work on your blog posts; thoroughness and quality is highly needful for successful blog.

Setting deadliness will help you ensure that the post is ready on the day it is intended. This way, readers would be sure of finding something fresh to read when they visit on that day.
3. Determine Who Your Audience Is
You should determine who your audience is and your goal for getting them to read your blog. Subsequently, you should stay on their specific needs with your post instead of diverting. For instance, if you are targeting a travel audience, it would be meaningless diverting your content to fashion. The ‘blog info’ section is a great place to describe briefly the goal of your blog and who the beneficiaries are. This will clarify things for both your visitors and you. A blog intended for your audience should be enjoyable, interesting, insightful and informative; if these elements are missing, you are just writing for your own consumption!
4. Less is Better
When it comes to writing in order to enhance your blog or website, less is better and also more. Consider the ‘tight’ and ‘concise’ writing approach. Simply use the right words to summarize your points irresistibly. Needless repetition in order to lengthen your post would only irritate and discourage your readers.
5. Remember to Edit!
When it comes to enhancing your blog, you must make out time to edit your article before publishing. I can’t conclude these writing tips without adding this one because its very important. The spell checker will not do extensive editing for you. You need to look out for unfinished sentences, omitted punctuations, awkward grammar structure and such things that may lower the quality of your content. Also, ensure that noun-verb agreement is implemented, and avoid using redundant phrases. Avoid laborious details as this will be boring to your readers.
These top five writing tips for enhancing your blog would reward you pleasantly when you start implementing them.
There you have it all, please i will like use to continue the discussion on the comment section. Is there any other writing tips you know that i didn’t add here? Let me know on the comment section.
Please, i will also like you to tweet and share this post with your friends, its all about sharing remember :). Thanks

Hi Seun, and good to see you are Theodore’s blog 🙂
Ah..let me wish you all the very best with your exams, and I’m sure you’d come out with flying colors. Coming to your blog, don’t worry – even if you don’t update it that often, we’d all still be around when you return. Take care of yourself first 🙂
Coming to the post, Seun, you surely said it all here. Yes indeed these tips will enhance your blog for sure, though I know I need to work on the post length point and cut it short 😉
Other than that, being precise and making sure your content is edited before you publish it are vital. Not to mention that you also need to take care your post gives your readers something to take back home. I do believe in schedules because that’s how you remain consistent, and it’s more of a commitment you make to yourself, and your blog readers too who look forward to your posts.
Thanks for sharing all these wonderful tips with us. Have a nice week ahead, both of you 🙂

Hi Seun, you’re right on point with these points! I personally love the point about determining your audience. Unfortunately, what I’ve learned over the years is that, most times, because of the type of traffic that keep coming to your blog you may sometimes be tempted to deviating from your primary target. Today, the subject of blogging is so popular among bloggers who visits and comment on other blogs that writing on other subjects just kind of seem really not “profitable.” However, like you said, if one has determined the audience, focusing on that will be much easier and as you continue to focus success is sure. Thanks for the tips.
Oluwaseun Babajide says
Chadrack,
Good to see you again. Yes, knowing your audience is a bonus. Many people do not pay attention to their stats.
Glad you liked the post.
Thanks for the comment Sir.

Hey Seun, I believe numbers 2 and 4 really compliment each other. Instead of writing really long blog post, why not break it up into different subjects and schedule a time to write short, concise posts with each one relating to the previous subject. It’ll be new material each time and yet more blog posts will look good to search engines. Besides that, this is definitely a great list to follow. Thanks for sharing!
Oluwaseun Babajide says
Sherman,
Glad you agree with me! Thanks for the comment.

Great tips! I have learned the importance of creating easy to read content. So I make sure to have short paragraphs, bullets, and number points. I write short posts (300-500 words) so it does not take long for someone to read it. I also use quotes to highlight a key or important point.
Keep writing great content. I’m really enjoying your posts.
Oluwaseun Babajide says
Dan,
Thanks for your valuable feedback. Much appreciated!

Hi Oluwaseun and welcome to Theodore’s blog,
I’m so sorry you were sick. I’ve been traveling a lot so I’ve been so behind with visiting other blogs and even connecting on social media. This has just been a crazy busy month for me but I’m so happy to hear that you’re feeling much better now.
Ah, school is starting again. I know that your career is very important to you as it should be. I’m happy that you’re so involved in school and eager to get that degree under your belt. I have no doubt you will have a very successful career.
I also admire that you blog as well and have done as well as you have. That speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. I can see where your studies would take up the majority of your time but I’m happy to hear you won’t let that interrupt your blogging. Having guest bloggers is a great way to keep that going so I’ll wish you the best of luck with that.
I think that all of these tips are spot on. I just got finished reading two posts back to back and they both spoke a lot about knowing your audience. I had an issue with that in the beginning because I think a lot of us think that everyone wants to know about what we share. I only wish that were half true.
Great share again today Oluwaseun and hope you both have a wonderful weekend.
~Adrienne

Playing with length would be a good idea. Writing long paragraphs is going to bore our readers and they will leave to find easier reading. Unless our blog gives out valuable information that the reader is lost without, there is little chance that we are going to impress them with long paragraphs.
Oluwaseun Babajide says
Okto,
Make your posts very interesting and have a catchy headlines. Headline is what get people to read posts these days…

Hi Theadore, I love “do not go about blabbing unnecessarily. I’ve got to learn not to rush, I tend to make typos and not the kind that spell check can find either. I’m not on a consistent schedule though I do post 2-3 times per week. I know some like Adrienne who post the same day and same time each week. So on top of it!
I like to be inspired to do a post. Something I’ve learned that I think my readers can use too. Or some new thing that just hit the web.
I like less is best too, I got rid of a lot of clutter a few months ago on my sidebar. I think my footer may go nex too.
Great tips Theodore and hope you are feeling better!

setting deadline is something which should always be the case whenever you are writing. I do agree with the point made here. Without having a dead line, there comes a sort of laziness and thus, the frequency of posting the articles is really ill-effected.
