No, I don’t mean you should go and rob because, if you’re caught, you will certainly go to Jail and, don’t tell them I advised you to do so via my post Lol, just kidding 🙂
Don’t mind me please, when I talked about stealing here, what mean actually is stealing your competitor’s ideas. And mind you, I didn’t say you should copy them but, it’s all about drawing inspirations from what they’re doing and then, trying it on your own business.
Many of you still finds it very hard to update your blogs simply because you don’t know exactly what to write about and, this same issue have lead to the downfall of many blogs today but, I can tell you that there is always a way out for any problem.

However, I know that you might have read many blog posts on the internet that taught you how to overcome writers block but, have you even tried to practice the tips you learnt from those posts? It’s not always a matter of reading the articles just for reading sake, if you read and don’t act then, you’re just wasting your time.
So please, it will do you a lot of good to always try as much as you can to act upon what you’ve read, this will always make a difference in your business and mind you, you can always reverse it if you don’t like the results you got from the idea.
Drawing Inspirations From Your Competitors Work
This is exactly what I’m talking about. One of the best ways to gather inspiration for a new blog post or even a new anything is by looking at what your competitors are doing and then, doing the same thing in your own unique style.
Take the auto-mobile industry for example, if you look around today, there are so many Cars that looks alike on the road, it’s obvious that all the Car manufacturers that built those cars did not built them the same time, one company built it first and the others started stealing the idea.
Take for example, Toyota Sienna mini van. Do you know that Honda also has that same type of mini van? I think they called their own Honda Odessey or something like that. Do you also know that almost all the other Car manufacturing companies out there has that same type of Car today?
There are still so many examples to give as regards to this but, I’m sure you’ve gotten the main point of what I’m saying right? Good.
The thing is this, whenever you’re stuck and don’t know what else to write on your blog, just browse through the internet, visit sites like BizSugar, Blokube, Inbound, Facebook and other similar sites that people always come to post their latest post. You should also visit your friends sites too.
Once you’re on those sites, look out for a post headline that interest you and one you know that your readers will enjoy reading and then, read the post from beginning to the end and by the time you finish, all you have to do is to take what you’ve read and repackage it adding your own unique voice and ideas and then, come up with a very interesting piece that will wow your readers?.
If you master this formula very well then, you will never run out of blog post ideas again….Period.
Also, if you see a blog design that you like, it’s also the same thing, all you have to do is to add that same style to your blog. If you see a particular feature that you also like on a competitors blog, you can also steal it. If you can’t figure out how he did it on your own then, just make the person a friend and ask him, if he is good enough, he will tell you.
Finally, the other thing you can do is when you see a trending topic; you should also use it to create a viral post that people will like.
So, stop complaining of writers block because, you already have my own secrets of overcoming it now, you go and try what I said and see if it will not work for you.
Thanks for reading and, have a fabulous day.
Please, I will like you to share with us your own formula of fighting writers block and also, have you used this method before? Lets take the discussion further via the comment section.

Hi Theodore,
Ah…writer’s block is something I’ve never really come across having been writing since long now. Or perhaps my mind is always SO full of ideas that I can never stop jotting them down 🙂
Yes, you have your competitors and other places and things to get inspired from, but what works best for me is the self-inspiration technique – what inspires me to write about things, which could be related to things and people around me. I think any small thing can inspire you or else it’s some comment or a phrase someone mentions in a comment or forum that could trigger your next post…just about anything, isn’t it?
Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

You’re right Harleena,
Those can really inspire one for a fresh post. I’m not surprised to hear that you don’t encounter writers block because, you’re already used to writing and so, that won’t be an issue for you again.
I believe that the more we write, the more we become good at it right?.
Thanks for coming mate 🙂

Hey Theo, and it sure is nice to be here on your blog again. 🙂
I love thos pictures and trust me they are great mini-exigesis and i specially love the first one.
Speaking bout the post, like Queen Harleena, there are many great ways to draw inspiration and bout writers block, i used to complain a lot bout it but not anymore though. Not after applying the many tips from great bloggers, such as yourself, Harleena, Sue Neal, Babanature, Enstine Muki, Blog Tyrant, Onibaluusi, and a host of other great bloggers. You guys have really helped me and now i can’t stop myself from writing. 😀
Aha……the title is another thing that actracted me and i love the fact that you made it clear to people who might want to get it twisted. Perhaps they don’t still get it; don’t try to ‘Copy and Paste’ other people’s work o.
I’m so delighted to have found and read this post this night, thanks to one of the groups on FB.
Thanks so much for the share big boss, pls keep it coming while I keep reading – pls do have yourself a wonderful night rest. 🙂

Hi Theodore,
Enjoy your post very much, I do agree that gaining that edge over competitors its a must do situation; studying and doing homework takes a lot of hard but in the long run everything should come fine. I feel that in a step by step approach a person could get a better site. Also developing a unique style is a must also learning from competitors you also see weakness and those and turning them into a postive way.
So Theodore thanks again and have a nice weekend. Or by the way keep with the great work!!!

It is very important to choose a few successful bloggers as our inspiration. And we must regularly read their blogs and try to understand the ideas they use. Then we should collaborate their ideas to make our new idea. It is just a process of learning, not stealing.
Theodore Nwangene says
You’re right Rahul,
Choosing the bloggers we listens to is advisable because, if you go about listening to every blogger on the internet then, you will end up being confused. I’m happy you like the article bro, thanks for coming.
